Richard Armstrong is the Managing Director of Eureka Capital, a fund marketing business which he co-founded in 2003. Prior to establishing Eureka Capital, in 2001, he co-founded Eurekahedge, a hedge fund data company, which he subsequently sold in 2011. He is Irish citizen and is resident in Singapore since year 2001.
Mr Armstrong qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 with Deloitte Haskins and Sells, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland. He relocated to Hong Kong in September 1985 to work for Price Waterhouse. From 1998 to 2001, he was employed as Managing Director and Head of Asian Equities and a member of the Global Equities Executive Committee for DrKW. Prior to joining DrKW, he was employed by Barclays de Zoete Wedd (BZW) from 1989 and worked in Hong Kong, Singapore and Jakarta in a variety of capacities.
Laurence has over 20 years of experience in the banking and asset management industry. He held various business development and investment related positions at ICBC International Asset Management, Bosera Asset Management (International), Pictet Asset Management, BNP Paribas Asset Management, JP Morgan Asset Management and Standard Chartered Bank.
Laurence holds a Bachelor degree in Finance from The University of Hong Kong. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder.
After graduating from Newcastle University in 2011, Adam started working for Howden Insurance Brokers a Lloyds of London broker and part of the Hyperion Group.
Specialising in the Asset Management and Private Equity industry, Adam worked in both a broking and account handling role before moving to Eureka Capital Partners in 2015. Adams most developed relationships are in both the UK including Channel Islands and Israeli institutional investors.
Prior to joining Eureka Capital Partners in 2005 Alastair spent 11 years in alternative investment fund sales. From 1996 to 2002 he was Sales Manager at Credit Agricole Asset Management and responsible for investors in Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Scandinavia. This was followed by similar roles at LCF Rothschild Asset Management, Lion Capital Advisors and Turnstone Asset Management.
At Eureka Capital Partners, Alastair is responsible for distributing funds to wealth managers, private banks, family offices, pension funds, insurance companies in Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Scandinavia.
Kent Tan is part of the Capital Introduction Team at EurekaCap Partners. His primary focus is Europe and Middle East. He was hired into Eureka’s Singapore office 2003 and relocated to its London office in 2005.
Prior to Eureka, Kent was a deputy manager at a large UK bookmaker in its sports betting division. Kent started his career as a junior FX dealer at Infovest in Singapore.
Kent graduated from Queen Mary College, University of London, with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Economics.
Niall Shiner co-founded Eureka Capital Partners in late 2001 and moved back to the UK in 2002, having worked in Asia since 1985.
Niall is currently co-ordinates the capital introduction services of Eureka Capital Partners in the West.
In Asia, Niall worked for a variety of investment banks including Barings, Smith New Court, UBS, Paribas and lastly Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein where he worked with Richard Armstrong.
Niall went to Exeter University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985.
Burke Farnell up the Capital Introduction team in the United States. He joined the firm in Singapore in 2004 has been based in New York office since 2005.
Prior to joining EurekaCap Partners, Burke worked in Singapore in market data.
Burke graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Carleton College. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 24.
Chris Tortora is part of the Capital Introduction team in the United States, having joined the team in 2022.
Previously, Chris worked for Cowen Inc.’s Westminster Research team in New York since 2014. There he assisted 80+ fund managers across the U.S. in managing their commission generation and investment research budgets, and provided consultancy on independent research providers and institutional brokerage industry trends.
Chris graduated from Bucknell University with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science. At Bucknell, Chris was a four-year member of the University’s Division 1 tennis program. Chris holds FINRA series 7 and 63 licenses.
